The COB INDEX tracks LED display manufacturing prices across three market segments: COB Fabs (wholesale substrate manufacturing), Business to Business (integrator supply), and Business to Consumer (retail systems). Baseline 100 = February 2026. Price movements in the Fabs segment typically precede broader market changes by three to six months.
Index values represent price movement relative to the February 2026 baseline of 100. A reading of 95 means prices in that segment are 5% below baseline. A reading of 110 means prices are 10% above baseline. The FAB segment (chip-on-board substrate manufacturers) is the leading indicator — changes here typically propagate to B2B and B2C markets over a three to six month lag.
